Meet Sapana

Sapana Patel, wife and mother of three has called Sugar Land home for over 26 years and has spent more than five decades in the Greater Houston area. A proud graduate of Houston Baptist University with degrees in Accounting and Marketing, Sapana launched her 15-year accounting career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and later worked at Enron. Today, she thrives as a successful realtor in Sugar Land, leveraging her professional expertise to help families find their perfect home.

Sapana’s deep connection to the community, coupled with her extensive volunteer experience, equips her to serve Sugar Land District 4 effectively. She currently serves as a Commissioner for the City of Sugar Land’s Planning and Zoning Board and has held leadership roles on the Sugar Land Redistricting Committee and the Fort Bend Education Foundation Gala Committee. Her involvement extends to local elections, community events, and volunteering with FBISD. Additionally, she is a proud graduate of the Sugar Land 101 and Sugar Land Police Citizens programs, as well as the Fort Bend Chamber Leadership and Fort Bend District Attorney Leadership programs.

Sapana’s dedication to community service is rooted in her love for Sugar Land. She and her husband, along with their three children, lived in Avalon for 15 years, where she served on the Avalon HOA and held roles such as President of the Commonwealth Elementary PTA and Vice President of the Fort Settlement Middle School PTO. In these roles, she spearheaded numerous initiatives, including organizing National Night Out events for over a decade, leading rezoning efforts to align neighborhoods with Clements High School, and contributing to school events as Publicity Chair, Carnival Chair and more over the 19 years her children attended school in the district. 

In 2011, Sapana and her family moved to Avalon at Telfair, where she continued her legacy of service as HOA President and neighborhood delegate. Her involvement in local development and safety initiatives, including Sugar Land’s National Night Out Program, reflects her unwavering commitment to preserving property values and enhancing quality of life for her neighbors.

Sapana’s vast experience, proven leadership, and passion for her community make her the ideal candidate for Sugar Land City Council. She understands the inner workings of the city and is dedicated to creating a brighter future for all residents. Sapana exemplifies tenacity, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to improving the community she loves. Sapana’s vision for Sugar Land District 4 is clear: to maintain and improve the quality of life that makes Sugar Land one of the best places to live.
